There are a couple reasons I am writing this: the first being that I find FP interesting; the second is I went and got myself a bachelors degree in Political Science and a JD with a focus in international law and I do NOTHING with those degrees. We'll just say I work with computers and leave it at that; third and finally, I have this fantasy that I will write some brilliant and incisive blog that will inspire someone to say: "That guy is a genius, let's give him a job."
I consider myself to be a bit of a pragmatist when it comes to policy but I can get rather realist or idealist depending on the nature of the issue, I vote Democrat for all you folks keeping score, I have no military service history but pretty much every generation before me in my family does. I am sure there are a great many other things that affect my interpretation of things but I will try to mention them as they come.
That is all for now, I will write something about actual foreign policy soon, I've been thinking about the nature of sovereignty in the modern world a lot lately so I imagine that will come up frequently.
